Joni Olson, MT-BC, WMTR

Joni earned her degree in music therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.  She is board certified, which is a national certification for music therapists.  She is also registered with the state of Wisconsin on the Wisconsin Music Therapy Registry.
 
She completed her 6-month internship with the ISD #279 in Osseo, MN, working with students with special needs.  She has worked as a music therapist and Director of Therapeutic Recreation in nursing homes, as a special education assistant at the middle school level, and currently has resumed her private practice, where she has experience in the areas of  rehabilitation, stroke, traumatic brain injury, special education, adaptive music, and choir direction.
 
Joni is a member of and the newsletter editor for the Wisconsin Chapter for Music Therapy, and a previous member of the American Music Therapy Association.

Noteworthy's History
Noteworthy Music Therapy was originally created in 2000 and serviced a variety of clients with many different needs.  Joni then took time to be a stay-at-home-mom for her kids, and resumed private practice in December 2007.
